 Eastern Railway invites applications from outstanding sports persons for recruitment against sports quota of Head Quarters for the year 2013-2014. Eligible candidates can send their applications on or before 06-11-2013 by 05.30 PM & 21-11-2013 by 05.30 PM for the candidates residing abroad and far flung areas. Age Limit: Candidates age limit should be in between 18-25 years as on 01-01-2014.

Educational Qualification: Candidates should possess Minimum Degree, Pass in Matriculation or ITI or equivalent and candidates should possess Outstanding sports achievements.

Selection Process: Candidates will be selected based on their performance in Trials and interview.

Application Fee: Candidates have to pay application fee of Rs. 60/- for the post in scale PB-I Rs. 5200-20200 + GP Rs. 2400/2800/- and Postal Order of Rs. 40/- for the post in scale PB-I Rs. 5200-20200 + GP Rs. 1900/2000/- and in PB-I GP Rs. 1800/-  payable only at GPO/Kolkata. This is not applicable for SC/ST, Women, Minorities & Economically Backward Class Candidates.

How to Apply: Eligible candidates can send their applications in prescribed format along with attested copies of all certificates duly attested by Gazetted Officer, Indian Postal Order in favour of “FA & CAO/ EASTERN RAILWAY”, two self-addressed envelopes (11” X 5”) duly stamped (Rs.5/-) in a closed envelope superscripted ‘APPLICATION FOR SPORTS QUOTA RECRUITMENT’ by ordinary post or to be dropped in the box placed at ground floor in front of the Eastern Railway Sports Association’s Office on or before 06-11-2013 by 05.30 PM & 21-11-2013 by 05.30 for the candidates residing abroad.
